I've been coming to this cafe location for years and while the previous coffee shop tenant was good... they weren't great. Cardinal Press is great! They are the quintessential Indie Coffee joint that you'd expect to see in trendy neighbourhoods of big cities, except this one owns a permanent location on the very walkable and trendy Newmarket main street.
Today as I'm sitting here in their comfy chairs, I'm enjoying their Chai Tea Latte and one of their chocolate chip and Oatmeal Cookies. I usually despise Oatmeal cookies due to years of eating dry "Dad's Oatmeal Cookies" out of the box. This cookie was more chocolate chip than oatmeal, and soft, tasty, and mmm mmmm mmmmmmmmm!
For you Keto Fans they offer a whole menu of Bulletproof items including: Coffee, Matcha Green Tea, Aggresso (lol), Dirty chai, and Mocha.
A true sign that they're the right kind of indie coffee shop is that they serve a reputable local coffee brand from Toronto; Reunion Island!
Definitely going to be my new spot for north GTA work days! -

This coffee shop is oh so cute! I dropped by to get some work done. The staff were incredibly friendly, and both my latte and brownie were delicious! The ambiance is very cute and cozy. There's a piano at the front which a customer started played while I was working and it was so lovely!
Highly recommend this spot! -

Great Cream of Earl Grey and Chocolate Cake. Great on a rainy day or any day. Located on Main Street in old Newmarket across from the Maid's Cottage.
